Today is my second blogiversary! I’ve been sex blogging for two years now, and today I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported on my journey so far. The last two years have been amazing, and while I never thought I would become a sex writer I absolutely love it.
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week (and Mental Health Awareness Month I think?) so obviously I’ve been struggling with my own depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation this week. Mental illness impacts literally every element of my life, and I am still learning how to manage it and take care of myself. Perhaps the most surprising thing that helps is creating sex positive structure in my week. Content note for discussion of mental illness and anti-depressants.
If any of you were expecting a sensible Eroticon round-up post from me, you clearly haven’t been following my work for the last 18 months. Eroticon 2019 was my second year at the brilliant sex writing conference, and it was truly magical. It wasn’t, however, perfect, and I’ve been struggling to write a post that explores how I found the weekend hard as well as showing y’all how much happiness and love the weekend filled me with. Today’s Sinful Sunday pays tribute to last weekend’s adventures at Eroticon. You see, the London-based sex writing conference definitely is better when you come, and I’m not quite ready to let go of the endorphin high it left me with quite yet.
